WomanIPC Connect’s Woman magazine has unveiled a new look and format with an increased focus on celebrity after a "seven figure" investment by the publisher.

The redesign comes ahead of what the publisher expects to be “strong” circulation figures in the ABCs on Thursday, set to be around the 370,000 for the first half of 2007.

The new larger format is supported by a refreshed layout and new editorial franchises and its existing sections. It includes the introduction of a UV varnish to the cover and a new look cover. Inside, the magazine has been refreshed to deliver more access points to stories.

Additional features include Celebrity Spy, Diet Buddies and Style Shop. The magazine, which hits the newsstands today (12 February) has also increased its cover price by 5p to 90p.

Jackie Hatton, editor of Woman, said: “This is the next step in the evolution of Woman, and builds on the tremendous success we’ve already achieved since we reinvented the brand 18 months ago.”

Oswin Grady, publishing director at Woman, added: “Under Jackie and her fantastically talented team, Woman continues to push boundaries and innovate, surprising its competitors and delighting readers with a compelling editorial package.”
