ROO goes Nuts for online TV
IPC ignite!’s lads magazine Nuts has partnered with internet video provider ROO to launch its own TV channel on the nuts.co.uk website.
Launched today, the free online medium will offer viewers video content including behind the scenes footage of Nuts’ photo shoots, as well as music, movies, entertainment and gaming channels.
ROO supplied the software for the new offering and will also provide unique content for the other channels.
A feature of Nuts TV is the Nuts TV Girls channel providing users with content from programmes featuring glamour models Michelle Marsh, Katie Downes and Lucy Pinder.
IPC ignite! Digital editor-in-chief Anthony Thornton said: “Partnering with ROO allows us to enhance the experience even further, providing exclusive footage of our favourite Nuts girls alongside a range of fun and informative news clips.”
Nuts.co.uk recorded 15.8 million page impressions for October 2006.
The magazine has undergone a series of management changes in the last month, with Clair Porteous being promoted from head of marketing to publisher, and former editor of Emap’s Australian FHM, Dominic Smith taking over the role of editor from Phil Hilton.
