E.ON goes wild for new ad campaign
E.ON is launching an integrated marketing campaign today in a further attempt to underline its green credentials.
The animal-themed push includes television, press, poster, direct mail and digital advertising. TBWA\London and sister agency Tequila\London handled the creative work, with Initiative overseeing the media planning and buying.
The ads highlight ‘EasyGreen’, a new renewable electricity product for businesses. The activity follows a recent TV spot, voiced by Bill Nighy, that showed people being battered by a gales generated by E.ON’s wind farms.
In the latest ad, exotic animals are shown roaming around offices, warehouses and shop floors. Creates such as giraffes, monkeys and zebras are featured in two 30-second ads that aim to show the “power of nature in your business.”
Unusually, all of the animals were filmed in the urban environments and no CGI or studio shooting was involved.
Peter Haigh, B2B director at E.ON, said: “In recent years there has been a positive rise in environmental awareness and we all understand that using energy has an impact on the planet.
“Many businesses now set environmental targets and so more and more companies want to buy electricity that is generated in a more environmentally friendly manner”.
