B&Q axes marketing director role
DIY chain B&Q is parting company with marketing director Jo Kenrick due to a restructure of its board.
Kenrick joined the Kingfisher-owned company in February 2006 from the opposition of marketing director at Camelot. She took up the responsibilities of B&Q marketer David Roth, who left to set up a consultancy.

CEO Euan Sutherland says: “A restructure at Board level will gear the business to be more commercially aligned and link customer insight and brand to our internal employee brand development in one team.”

She recently took the stage at the annual Marketing Society conference to discuss the topic “Is morality a concern of the marketer” in relation to environmentally friendly practices.
B&Q recently signed up to be the sponsor of Channel 4's property strand 4homes in a deal negotiated by Newcast, part of ZenithOptimedia.
