Horlicks to sponsor Smooth Radio show

BlondieDrinks brand Horlicks is to sponsor the weekday evening show across the Smooth Radio network.

The sponsorship, which starts 4 January, will be coupled with a song request feature where listeners can go to the Guardian Media Group Radio-owned station’s website and request two songs to relax to.

The GlaxoSmithKline-owned brand will also have a microsite and run display ads on the Smooth Radio website.

GMG Radio, which recently announced that chief executive John Myers is to step down next April, launched a major marketing campaign for Smooth Radio earlier this year.

The TV, outdoor and press activity featured iconic album covers from the likes of Blondie and the Beach Boys masking parts of people's bodies, an online craze known as "sleeve facing".
